I know this question has been asked before. I am trying to eliminate causes of the STN I have been getting on some of my SPS's base. I currently use TMP. I haven't tested the consistency of the salt, but my tanks parameter have been consistent. Currently they are
Alk 9
Calcium 410
MG 1350
K 330
Phosphate 0 to 0.03
Nitrate- Undetectable
I am just trying to rule things out. The only other thing I havent really looked at is flow. I have a 60 cube with a MP10 and MP40 on the back wall on either side of overflow.
Other than STN on bases, the rest of corals are growing as they should. Only the acro's have been affected, not the monti's. Clam is doing well, zoo's are multiplying, fish are happy. I took the GFO offline and have been monitoring phosphate. I also run 6 to 7 teaspoons of BRS Rox carbon in a reactor.
