I built this today after sitting at work doing nothing trying to figure out what would be a cheap way to build a refugium light.

This is what I came up with - it works wonderfully so far. I plan on painting it this weekend. Would love some feedback of what you guys think!

Just as an added tidbit, I let it sit for about 8 hours and it was only a little warm... no more than my LEDs.

Pretty cool, what about a reflector?

Great idea... I'll take a cola can and carve out a kind of reflector to surround the bulb. I did it once before for ... another project.
