Well your "old tank" looks pretty nice.

With that shopping list for your new tank, I'm sure it's gonna be even better. You definitely have all the right stuff.

With a new apartment to place it in too. You are on a roll.:)

Since you have a ProfiLux P3eX you should also add the Salinity (conductance) probe. It should already have that module/card installed in the controller.

Have you looked into the GHL Mitras LED? Would be SWEET over the new tank in the new apartment :)

Thanks.
Will come with Salinity so soon.
And I had try a lot of LED before,Maxspect G2 , Mazarra P , DIY 550W etc...
But I found the 20000K HQI have the best result for SPS beside heat:(

So this time , I hope to setup a lower density rock and coral placing with 2 HQI only.

But I am wondering 3 to 4 Tunze 6095 are flow enough for the corals.

And idea about the flow?

Thank you.
My old tank is 85 gallon (net water)
I provide 2 x 400w HQI with 20000k (6hours) and 4 t5ho(12hours)
T5ho can provide much spectrum for coral.
1-2 week 15% WC.

Patience is the key.
Sorry for my poor english:sad1:

Thanks bro.
It seems not enough rock for coral placement.
I will add more rocks arround the island later.
But I will try to provide much space for the coral growth.

Hi Michael

Is the return from your sump going to the three holes in the bottom of the tank or are the for a closed loop? If they are your returns, then I would not rely on that check valve as they can fail then you would have a massive flood. I would use another pump and use the holes for a closed loop.

Great electrical work and very clean!

I am using that check valve for a long time, reliable and efficient!

I am also planning to setup a overflow in sump in case the valve fail.
I don't like to see any pipe in tank so I am not consider closed loop in this monment!
But it is one of my idea when I design the tank.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w285/michaelhts/20130207_182643_zps284ea948.jpg

Find out few Leakage between the PVC.

This cause by two different type of PVC.

Yes it looks like you are using both JIS and American plumbing! Glad you got it sorted. There is a good shop for plumbing at 929 Canton road. Rehoboth. Ask for Kim. They stock spears, GF, JIS etc......

I am glad you are happy using the check valve. I would regularly clean it though just in case!

Coming along nicely!

Nice build thus far. To keep the algae from growing while the tank is cycling turn off the lights, no need to have them on anyways right now. If you are going to set up a fuge then do it now and get the lighting and algae growing in in, that will also help a ton with algae in the display. Get a bunch of snail and hermit crabs as well to help keep thing clean as the tank cycles.

I am fighting with algae and NO3, I think it caused by a heavy loading suddenly.

So I decided to have large percentage of water change.

I change 35% tonight, and change the Zeo 4 hours on and 4 hours off.
