After 6 years in the high desert of New Mexico I'm finally coming back home to Florida. I've sold my house and will be moving End of Feb. I'm extremely stoked and I'm trying to gage the reefing scene in Tampa, St.Pete area?

Seem there is lots of activity on RC for the area but how are the stores. Coming from an area with practically nothing, I'm hoping for for some bad *** stores.

I've sold everything and will be basically starting fresh so it may take a few months to get back up. I hope to meet lots of you guys/gals and look forward to Florida sunshine.

The stores here in Tampa and surrounding area are great! I moved from Missouri about three years ago where there was basically nothing for saltwater stores. It was like a whole new world lol. There are several clubs to join too! You can pm me and I'll tell ya about them.

agreed - the stores are great. I moved here a year and a half ago from Pittsburgh and never was in the hobby until now. I was in Ft Lauderdale in '72-'74 (as a two year old) - everyone always comes back to Fla. :)

I dont know why I'm like this - but from my place - I prefer the stores north of Ulmerton rather than the St Petersburg stores. Its not a preference because of store - its a preference to go towards dunedin rather than st pete - which is weird.

Well Welcome back! There are a abundance of stores here in Pinellas and Hillsborough. ..

There are also a ton of fellow reefers in this area also which is always nice to have help or even just to get to know more people interested in same stuff as yourself.

Awsome I can't wait and thanks for some info. I'm literally counting down the days. Leave it to me to pick up thesaltwater habit, I mean hobby, out in the middle of the desert. It should be a little easier down in FL. It was a struggle getting my wife to agree to move back. Took several years but it finally happened

I sign over the house 20th of Feb and I'm leaving the next day.
I tried to start a club out here but it never really took off and there is one in El paso but I hate the drive and it was full of Drama so it will be nice to meet with a well organized club.

I Spent a couple years stationed in El Paso. I was glad to come back to Florida lol. Lots of good stores in the area
