So, recently bought a 12 gallon Nano Cube tank. It has a built in wet-dry filter in the back of it. I want to make a Nano-reef tank out of it. Is it possible to do a nano-reef tank with a wet-dry filter and not a protein-skimmer? Tips/advice/suggestions?

Personally, I'd pull the wet/dry media, get ~10lbs of good quality live rock for your display, and do weekly ~4-5 gallon water changes. You'll be good to go.
