Would these filter feeders be bothering my blue agaves enough to keep them basically closed...theres about 3-4 of them living on this frag....I say their filter feeds bc im not sure what their actual name is(sure someone on here may) they are white strings and have little tentacles all over it...sorry about the picture they are hard to get a clean shot of bc they are so thin.

Thanks for the feedback and help

i cant see em..either way, i would think those type of filter feeders arent equipped with the kind of tenicles/ nodules to conduct "chemical warfare" on neighboring species..thats my 2 cents, however, if the filter feeder is waving around in the current and keeps touching the zoa, my guess is ,,yes it might aggitate the zoa enough to make the zoa stay closed..

picture is too small to really tell what exactly what this "filter feeder" looks like, but just out of curiousity... how long you have had this frag

Do these white strings come out of a shell or a tube? Digitate hydroids came to mind first, but I'm not really sure. I can't really see anything in that picture.

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about for reference.
