Hey guys. I moved last month and have Uverse at my new place. The Apex is running great, and I can connect outside of my network without issue, but my email is not working. I use GMX and didn't change any of the email settings. It worked fine with Time Warner.

Results of the telnet:
AquaController> SMTP: server = fb01a9c0
SMTP: tcp connect error - -1

Here are the network settings:

I originally had the DNS pointed to my router (192.168.1.254)
I thought it was an issue with the DNS, so I changed it to the 8.8.8.8. It still isn't working. Any other ideas?

I had a issue with mine.I got the "test' email, and all was fine. Did a water change yesterday, and with the heater in the return side of the sump, wanted to test light shutdown at certain temp. Lights shut off,but no alarm email! Alternate email did get the alarm email. Figured out today that Gmail decided to switch it over to"spam"! Idiots!:headwalls:

My gateway and primary dns server are the same IP. Secondary dns is 8.8.8.8 .HTTP port is 80. Open XML is disabled. Hope this helps!

Well I have it sending to both my email and my phone. Everything was working fine before I moved and switched ISP. The strange thing is that I can ping mail.gmx.com without issue.

I had the same issue too. Did this and ENABLED email auth did it for me.

I was connected to a Dlink router which connected to my att modem. That didnt work for web access outside of home network. Then changed it to hooking up straight to the att modem and now I can access apex unit from outside home network and email works now.
