does a SG calibrating fluid have to be of the same temp as my tank water to be accurate for my refractometer???

no, room temperature will do. keep in mind that the refractometers calibration will change with its temperature. So if temp. of refractometer is calibrated at 70 degrees, it will be off when at 80 degrees.
