Hello,
I set up a tank about 1.5 years ago for someone and they are looking to replace the Octopus XS 200 with something that will fit a smaller footprint. The skimmer is in an octopus sump and has to be removed to change the filter socks due to octopus changing the tank drain input from single round to 2 rectangle socks taking some more space in the skimmer area. The skimmer is oversized at the request of the person I set the tank up for but now they want to change it and I think I can go with a smaller rated skimmer. I need the price to be $350 or less. Total water is about 120 gallons; mixed reef with SPS. I was thinking skimz 161, seaside cs1, octopus XS160. If I can get a footprint 10x11 or smaller it would be ideal.
What are your toughts?
