bulk reef reactor

i have a bulk reef carbon/gfo reactor and went to switch pumps on it and for the life of me i cant get the old pump out of the attachment, any suggestions or is there something im missing here?

Are these push lock fittings??? if so then you need to push down on the ring at the top of the fitting then you should be able to pull out the hose.

Are you running a Maxijet on the reactor? And are you looking to replace with the same pump? If so, you can just leave the fitting attached to the hose, twist off the pump/impeller, and replace.
I used to run one of those, it can take a little force to get he pump out of the fitting.
