Questions about tunze 6045

I have a 60G corner tank that i need to get some new circulation pumps for. I just got an apex light and my current pumps (generic brand) make horrible grinding noises when they turn on and off.

I am thinking about getting 3 of these
Tunze Turbelle NanoStream Pump 6045

My question is as follows:

1) The pump is listed as variable speed, can i adjust the speed with my apex and a variable speed module?

1a. If so how do you connect the pumps to the VSM

2)Should those 3 pumps provide enough flow for a mixed reef tank?

3) If anyone has experience with these pumps are the going to make the previously mentioned grinding noise from turning on?

I don't think the 6045 will work with the controlers, it has a slider on the pump to control the amount of flow. The 6055 and the 6095 are the 2 you would want to look at if you want to controll with an apex lite. You would need the vdm modual and a aquasurf cable for 2 pumps. I have a pair of 6105's and control with an apex and don't get a grinding noise. Sounds like your shaft or magnet is damaged on your pumps.
