macroalgae newbie - 90G fowlr -i'd like to add red mangrove and or cheato

can i, / should i, add both?
excluding a dedicated fuge, where is it better to place them ?
my setup looks someting like this -
in my sump , on one side i have a mag drive and a bag of chemipure
in the other side i have a drip tray with a pad , then bioballs , then a polishing sponge and another bag of chemipure
i am thinking putting mangrove rubberbanded together in the overfill box
and cheato by the mag drive and just keep pruning it back so the pump does not get entangled
is this a viable plan ?
any sugesstion for doing things differently ?

my suggestion would be to put both bags of chemipure together but away from the pump section....other than that, it sounds great without a photo.

what will make cheato take off on growth ? I have a fist sized ball that appears to have dark tips on it... and starting to get a algae slime growing on it....

The basics of fast growing macro is strong light, strong flow, good attachment, and not thicker than 20 mm. 660nm (red) light grows the best.
