What can you say about the dimension of this Petsmart 150 gallon tank by Top Fin.

26.75 Deep
50.5 Wide
59.5 High (kind of high, this is what in the website but I am guessing this is the total height including the cabinet)

Kind of odd dimension but I want to know what people think about this. Anyway the price is $650 with cabinet and glass top with junk light. I was thinking maybe too high (but maybe the website is wrong ) but I like depth and width. No overflow but I am going to use beananimal fail safe system.

thanks

I have never had a Top Fin brand tank so I can not speak about the quality. I have only ever had All Glass / Aqueon.

I though that was a typo with the 59.5" height but that is what their site says. I used to own a 210g tank that was 29" tall and it was a pain to do anything in. Aquascaping, cleaning, or trying to get something out of the tank was a chore. I don't even know how you would reach the bottom of a 59" tank. I do not know if you are doing a fish only tank or a reef. If you plan on a reef tank you will have a harder time lighting the tank with that much height.

Just my .02, hopefully someone with more experience with these tanks can tell you more.

Happy Reefing!

All those measurements include the cabinet. Those measurements would come out to be 348 gallons if that was a tank.

I'd say the tank is actually 48x24x30

too bad its not 48x30x24, but then you'd have a marineland DD

If its the same tank as the petsmart by me has, which I'm sure it is, then the height is just the tank. I've considered it, but I would never be able to get to the bottom!

I made some phone calls this morning to Petsmart to find out the actual dimension....it is

24.3" deep
48.3" wide
30.5" high

which makes sense to be at least 150 gallon tank. So lighting up is no big deal with LED (radion) for a mix reef tank. It's just a chore to work inside tank using step ladder. I am so use to my 40 breeder shallow tank. I also requested petsmart to find out if bottom is tempered or not.Unfortunately, I cannot buy just the tank.

Do they carry a 120 gallon? That would be 48"x24"x24". The height makes it much easier to work on the tank and still a nice size.

you can order it online and have it ship to the local petsmart or print out the order and pay for it at the petsmart

I was considering this tank, anyone find out of it the back can be drilled? I know it's an old topic but didn't want to start a new thread since it has been asked a couple of times before in this thread and http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1413945

Thanks in advance.
