I have a t5 4 bulb I was given for free, I don't know the brand however it has individual bent reflectors. Probably not super high quality. Would it work on a shallow frag tank to grow sps? It would only have to penetrate 5" to the sps. I would use ati bulbs of course.

Yeah will work fine. Depending on corals, Do 50/50 (blue/white bulbs)

For looks I'd use

Blue Plus
Aquablue special
Blue Plus
Actinic (front of tank)

Or for better growth

Aquablue special
Blue Plus
Aquablue special
Blue Plus/Actinic (front of tank)
