URGENT! Pistol Shrimp!

So within the last month i introduced a pre paired yasha goby and candy cane pistol shrimp. Over the duration of having them my yasha goby disappeared. So after a weak of not seeing it i added a yellow watchmen goby which was about 5 days ago. I really want to move my rock and net out the candy cane pistol shrimp and relocate him to other side to see if one of the gobys follow him. Is this possible? I'm really worried!

you probably wont find your gobies that way. Ive had mine in my 24g dissapear for an week at a time. So just wait it out, and watch them come out as time fly bys. Cheer up!

Don't be sorry. Don't do what you are proposing. It is not necessary and will be stressful. They will find each other. What size tank?

FWIW, I'll bet your yasha is in the tank. 5 days is not uncommon for a newly added goby.

the ywg has been missing for 5 days, the yasha has been gone for a month. they were paired when i first got him and he was out every day for a week then just dissapeared

They like to hide a lot during the day but at night they probably come out a lot more. Mine will stay under the rock for days sometimes then be out for days just all depends on how many tunnels they have and where all there trap doors come out of. Also have to be careful because sometimes the goby with a shrimp will become very aggressive to anything near its tunnels or even the shrimp. My goby will fight anyone that gets too close.

Don't try. You're likely to kill one of the three by setting a rock on him, and the shrimp and the fish will go where they please. Annoy the shrimp too much and he might kill one of the fish.

i would give it some time, i have lost a goby for 6 months in a 90g, seriously, then one day it just popped out of the rockwork and eat some mysis i was feeding. some times the things we add to our tanks dont behave exactly as we expect, but thats the beauty of reefing.

Try to keep the urgents up your sleeve for when you need them, you know what happened to the boy who cryed wolf?!!!

i would honestly wait, or if your sure they are gone, at least find out killing them or what your doing wrong before killing another..

+1 on waiting...I had a watchmen goby disappear for like 6 months in a 75 gal and all of a sudden he started coming around again. Weird but def cool to witness.

My YWG and candy cane pistol disappeared for over a month in my 75g. I knew they were still there because the bottom of my tank was visible under my stand and I would catch them down in the burrow occasionally. Just give it time....stop buying more gobies and throwing them in there and wait.

They are in there somewhere, just leave everything alone & let them get situated. I had a Yasha that ended up jumping out after a year & I never saw it the first 2 weeks it was in the tank.

My yasha disappeared for over a week when I first got him. He has 3 different burrows he pops his head out from, 1 behind my scape and the other 2 in a cave. Usually I only see him out is during feeding time. I haven't seen my pistol shrimp since I put him in but I hear him all the time. Make sure you have some type of lid to keep him from carpet surfing.

this certainly isnt an urgent issue, some people actually have emergencies that they need help with immediately. your crying wolf, calm down, take a step back, watch your tank. get a flash light and look around at night, check the over flows, check the carpet around and behind the tank, check them sump. if you dont find any fish in all these places, then wait some more.
