I was thinking about trying this soda ash out but wanted a 2nd opinion before buying 50# of the stuff. Anyone have any experience with this product? Seems like a pretty good deal..

It's a laundry detergent...

That would certainly be cheaper and also known safe.

The product linked is probably OK, but why not save some money and get something known to be safe...

Gets used in the laundry a lot, but definitely not a detergent.

Its soda ash, like BRS sells, only cheaper. Was just wondering if it is as pure as the stuff BRS sells, and if anyone has used it. I already use A&H bs, and BRS soda ash(Sodium Carbonate), but my supply of the BRS soda ash is running out and I need to order more soon.. This product has no detergents or anything like that listed in ingredients, just: Soda ash (Sodium Carbonate) Na2CO3 99.8% Soda Ash / 0.2% Water

Arm and hammer is cheaper and proven safe. why would you pay more for something that you dont know is safe as stated above?

I used ice salts before as additives and things seem fine. As long as you can verify that it's either USP or good grade you should be fine. Seems like nothing harmful, if one to believe the label.

Pool supplies have the cheapest additivies usually, and usually safer..
