View Full Version : Coralline algae on side glass?

Tank is 4 months and coralline is taking off and on side glass. Anyone cares the look of coralline on side glass? And can you post picture? thanks

i usually scrape it as my tank is in wall. sides are in the wall and only 2 glass that are see-able are front and back. front has to be clear and back due to the fact i have to maintain everything from back has to be clear as well. sorry maybe someone else can help.

I scrape it off the front and sides for viewing.

I didn't mind it on the side glass, but the more coralline algae you have the more your calcium consumption will be. I'd much rather the corals use the calcium than the algae. The sides are kept clean now, but the back is still covered.

Thanks guys, I think I'll start scraping off the sides before it gets too thick and I become lazy to do it.
