I had a powder brown tang that was healthy for a few weeks and then something like ich appeared and went away every few days and I thought it was the fine sand sticking to him. Well 2 days ago black spots started to appear. Yesterday when I woke up he looked like he was loosing flesh or like if he had some kind of film pealing off. He was week, could not swim right, would not eat and was hiding all day. I went out and when I came back my anemone had eat him. How I dont know but it happened. Well I started to do some reaserch on the signs to figure out what it was and the closest is velvet.

My question is if I really have velvet on the tank, Do I need to take appart the system and clean it or take 1 (last fish) clown out and leave it fish less for a few months? Dont know what to do. Also the clown is normal and with no sign of sickness.

sorry fr the loss. MV somewhat drive their energy via photosynthesis so leave tank dark for 7-10 days along with 8-10 weeks of fallow period to rid.
