I put Marco rock in my tank. I think it's really good rock, very porous and large for its weight

Bulkreefsupply.com is the way to go. They have a few different options at very good prices. You won't be disappointed.

Marcos rock is good, good size for its weight and shapes very attractive for the display tank. Reefrocks is also good, but more for base rock for sump - its heavier and not as attractive looking.

I was looking at reef rock because it was slightly cheaper but I really don't have a preference. I also like BRS's stuff, I ready about 1lb/gallon of DRY rock is usually enough, is this usually true?

I used reefcleaners. I was impressed. I'm not sure how much difference there is between the competitors though.

I've used macro rocks. I've read between 1 - 1 1/2 lb/gal. In my 38 gal, I have about 55 lbs.

Its very light/porous/pretty..not sure what rtecanoe is talking about.
plus you get free sand too depending on how many pounds of rock you buy.. can't beat that..
Sometimes shipping takes a few days though but not biggie.

+1 and they usually give you a little more than you order in case the rock breaks in transit.
