i love maze brains, any one have a pic of a colorful one though?
i have seen tans, browns, some greenish and even a greyish/blue one.
no bright colors though. i want one!

I don't have an extremely colorful maze brain but I like it! Kinda brownish red with teal centers.

did you grow those nice round globes from frags?
just put on sandbed?

I believe I have the same one as you RogueAgent. It looks great with the actinics on. Mine is growing out from a frag I put directly on the sand. It has only grown about a half inch in the few months I've had it.

majong, you may want to look for images of "dragon soul favia". I think it's a very colorful coral.

Yeah, mine looks awesome under actinics. Not very photogenic though. The pictures above were taken under 50/50 light with a flash. Mine was tiny when I got it and has grown quite a bit but now has slowed down growth. I need to start feeding it directly. Can't wait till it gets that awesome round look!

specifically looking for Platygyra lamellina. "maze brain" or "worm brain" corals.

i see colored pics (red , blue , green) at some of the online vendors. but there is always the caveat "due to variations in species color, your specimen may look different"
no WYSIWYG
