At what temperatures are you all running your display tanks at?
Also, have you noticed any significance with temperature and coral growth patterns?
Just had a curious thought cross my mind this morning.....

and an advanced search on user greenbean36191 and use temp as the search term. He has spent many years on the reefs around the world studying temperatures.

Okay. Thank you all for your responses. I was running 77 - 79 degrees F without any issues. I am now trying 79 - 81 degrees F to see if there's a change on growth.
I also changed bulbs.... went from 20K 250W mogul to 10K 250W mogul bulbs. So far, I have noticed the colors popping more with the 10K bulbs.

be sure too watch for bleaching with that bulb change. Going from a 20K bulb too a 10K can make a huge PAR increse, just a heads up for you:bigeyes:

Thanks Fishguy. I will decrease my photoperiod by three hours and slowly bring it back up to 7 hours. So maybe cut back to 5 hours of light....
Any other thoughts or ideas on photoperiod due to the new Kevin change?
