I have had a ton of taks over the last 20 years my last one was a reef 150 that crashed and i lost intrest in it after loosing about $900 in corals. So time to do something small.

I'm in Decatur and getting my 180 frag tank set up and the light gets here Tuesday so perhaps when I get a few corals fragged we can meet up. I also saw your build thread. I would be interested in trading frags too - I don't have too much of what you have.

Great looking build so far. Have you done a lot of reading on the DIY LEDs? I do a lot of DIY stuff. My whole tank and sump and most everything has been built from scratch. Im very interested in how the 10w LEDs work out for you.

Currently looking at doing some DIY LEDs to retrofit and replace my actinic PCs that supplement my 250w MHs in the same fixture.

Welcome back. I'm about 20 miles west. I'm just getting back into it as well. Your build is looking very nice. Good to see more local people in the area.

lol. good to know. That'll be a nice touch on a cherry stand though. I remember my aunt used to do that back in the day. She was really into it for a while. So I've only seen it done (a long time ago).

What's up Nathan? Im Starting back up after a 3 yr hiatus :) A friend of mine stored my tank for me and when I got it back it reeked of chemicals, so I had to scratch that one. I bought a 60 cube. I've got sand and water so far. Got a maxspect 120 watt led light on the way. With lots of persuasion by Cory I reluctantly didn't buy halides. :) in his words "I'm an old man set in my ways that won't part with my power sucking lights" Lol

whats up Bryan. My tank is going through some issues. i lost all my SPS about 6 months ago and i have had trouble getting it straightened back up. An infant in the house does not help. I am getting ready to do a 100 gallon water change and am going to do another one next friday. but many times i have thought about taking it down but have not done it yet. I have no SPS left bryan but i have some LPS if you ever need something. Your 180 back in the day was a beautiful tank.

Thank you Nathan. I plan on collecting digi's again. Not sure about the caps in a 60 gallon. I saw a frag of those orange zoas I had at petropics in charleston a couple weeks ago. If I'd been set up I would have had them. I know how u feel about tearing down a tank. It takes time and resources to care for a reef tank that big. I'll be looking for some chaeto and live rock soon if u know anyone that has some to get rid of.
