Since i cant seem to get answers in the SPS section about the correct dosage of Bayer complete maybe someone here can give it. I have my acros in QT and the thread that was written gives 20 different dosages for killing off AEFW from .05ml per cup to 10ml per cup. What is the right dosage? All i get in response to the dosage is look at the thread. Well the thread is so vague. Anyone have a good dosage for killing off AEFW?

No one has found a perfect dose yet. I personally do 8ml to 1L for 15 mins and every things great for sps. I have a friend who does 8ml to 1 cup for 10 mins.

"What's the right dose"? i don't know if their is a "right dose". I use 10ml per cup, 10-15 Min. on SPS and LPS with no ill effect.

Most use 5-10 ml per cup and dip 5-15 minutes for SPS

I go conservative on the dose 5ml for about the 15 minutes and my SPS have never suffered.

Does this work for redbugs as well or just AEFW?

It will kill anything with a nervous system. Including fish inverts snails pods etc. That is why it is safe for coral they do not have a nervous system. Also why you never treat your entire tank.

As far as correct dose, it is really up to you but remember more is not always better in this case. The average time seems to be 10 to 15 minutes depending on your mixture. I personally use 8 - 10 mL per QUART for not more than 15 minutes. If you get side tracked and the coral has more dipping time it will recover.

It has been reported in other threads that too high of a mixture or too long of a dip can cause bleaching.

I originally was using the dose mentioned in the above YouTube video….8 mls/liter. However, I typically only needed a smaller volume for the one of two frags I just purchased. So I simplified the dilution to 1 ml per 100 mls of tank water. I dip for 15 – 20 minutes. I'm very happy with this stuff and I'm totally bug free!

so basicly it is 1:100
1 Part Bayer
100 parts SW

That is a nice easy ratio to remember, thanks for making it simple for us.
