my rbta that i've had for about 9 months hasn't seem to grow a bit. Even when looking at pics from when i purchased him. All my other corals and carpet nems seem to be growing like crazy. How fast do they usually grow?
Or is it just a very slow growing specimen

Do you supplemental feed him from time to time? Try a few slivers of raw shrimp every couple of weeks.

They can be slow growing depending on your parameter. Strong light and QUALITY light is prefer when raising RBTA. Make sure they get some flow, but not direct flow out of a powerhead. As long as you can see the tenticles move around then you should be fine. I feed mine mysis shrimp once a week, since they get most of their energy from the light.
