Caulerpa Question

Hey everyone, I recently got some frags of coral and there was some caulerpa on them. I got all of the caulerpa off as best I could. I am worried that there might be a strand that went floating around and might begin to start growing. Am I over-reacting? Should I just keep watch? Thanks!

I had this issue once and cleaned it off and it never developed into anything so I am for watching and remove if grows in the display tank
