i use the brs reacotrs and they get clogged. been trying to figure out a solution but not finding much...esp with the films created by the pellets, the plastic screen on the canisters get clogged with gunk easily and the flow detriorates over time requirng a cleaning...i too am looking for a BP reactor

JNS and Reef Octopus makes good pellet reacters. JNS comes with a Sicce adjustable pump and very easy to setup.

check out the aquamaxx reactor as well. Same design as the JNS but you can choose your pump and can be plumbed externally.

I was using a two fishes reactor but I've recently upgraded to a reef octopus bio pellet reactor and I couldn't be happier. I'm running the in sump version for my 90g and there is plenty of room to move to a bigger tank with the same reactor.

Which pump are you using? I'm considering ordering one with the mag 3 instead of a mj1200. I've read a few people are saying they clog. How fast does it clog and how often do you need to clean it?

I've been running a BRS biopellet reactor for 2 years now on my 80g cube. I clean it every 6 months or so. Just make sure you run a pretty good size pump on it (bigger then MJ1200). I only use about 1/3 of the space in it, so it could probably handle a much bigger tank if filled.
