From the 2nd picture in post 4 to the first picture in this thread, about 14 months. But, mind you, until a year ago (( back surgery )) I was really good about keeping it off the walls and overflow. After that, I just kept the back glass clear. However, over the summer I went to London for 2 weeks, and stopped after that. Now I only clear the front and right side glass.

For reference, this was about 3 months ago,

Wow!! I love Xenia, despite how invasive it can be, it's beautiful and it's always the first thing 'non-reefers' comment on when they see my tank. I think if you WANT it everywhere, a tank full of Xenia is a truly impressive sight.

Wow, you should start selling it by the pound!

What are your water parameters like? Do they keep your nutrients down to the point where they out compete algae?

i would love to have a tank full of nothing but xenia and, its my favorite coral. watching it pulse all the time is intoxicating to watch haha
