Spotted this in my tank six years ago and disappeared. Spotted it tonight and snapped a picture. Would like to know exactly what the name for this anemone is, if possible. It's only 1/4" wide and can retract quickly when spooked. It's in the sand so I think it's some kind of sand anemone.
Thanks!!

I'm betting it's some kind of Bunodactis anemone

http://www.google.com/search?q=bunodactis+anemone&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&oe=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=2wxAUe_MIM382gWqsYDADQ&biw=1024&bih=713&sei=5wxAUYyeH5LqqAGrroHYDQ

Feed it some tiny pieces of raw shrimp, or thaw some frozen mysis. Just release the food over the nem so it drops gently onto it. Don't wanna spook it again. :)

Thanks Bradley, could be a Bunodactis..... wished it had the color of some of those examples!
I'm guessing it's not a pest that spreads everywhere, 'cause it's certainly laid low all this time.
