Hi just wondering
I have snapped off the plating pieces under my monti that dont receive light.
These are mainly White. Will they colour up now exposed to light or do they just need scrapping?

They might color up, as long as there is still tissue on them and they aren't bare skeleton.

do the have PE? If yes, they will slowly color up within 4 weeks

give it a few weeks and you will see some collar. No need to toss it...

And even if they are dead, they can be re-covered by growth.

As long as you see polyps on the pieces, you are good. I would suggest placing them in a low-light area, as they have been shaded until now. I make frags the same way, and they do just fine.
