I was wondering if one Radion fixture would provide enough lighting in a 40g breeder tank?

Thanks,
Max

With proper coral placement, yes one Radion will work very well.

I've wondered the same. They are only rated for 24" square, but if you were to raise it up you would obviously get more coverage. Since a 40 Br is a relatively shallow tank, i'm sure you can raise it and just run it at a higher percentage to compensate. I cant see anyone running a radion at 100% 6-8" off the water. Maybe at twice that distance, you could and get a better spread?

You could get away with one with careful placement of corals but I would highly recommend two or adding supplemental if you want good coverage. I had one on a 30" cube and had issues with placement and shadowing.
