calc and alk question?

i have a fairly new tank packed with frags and i have my dosers set to a certian amount per day (obviously)...i cant seem to keep them in balance although they stay stable at at 460 and 8.1dkh...is this ok? should i just increase alk dose? (seems logical)

I'm not sure I understand your question, i.e. "keep then in balance"?, if they're stable.

I would just drop the Calcium dose for a few days to have Ca level drop to around 420 then raise it a bit to maintain it at that level. You might notice a slight raise in alk when droping Ca so you might need to let it drop as well. I would be ok running my tank with alk and Ca at 8 and 420 but then you just have to watch how your corals are doing.
