first post here. new to the salt side. just set up a regular 29 gallon. i used RO water from LFS and Smart Start Complete. i have a few juvenile percula clowns in right now, with a royal gramma (who hides 24/7) and about 24lbs live rock. i plan on doing coral as well fwiw.

i've already read the 5 million threads on tangs, tang police, etc. love the blue tangs but realize the obvious.

what's a good alternative to a nice colorful fish like a tang or angel? something a little more active/visable.

thanks

If you are not a fan of firefish and gobbies you should have gotten a bigger tank :)

Damsels are actually under appreciated and can be very colorful

You could keep a Bicolor angel in there... Keeps the clowns, get rid of the gramma.. Might get a little too aggressive with 4 active swimmers. And you could get a bottom dweller maybe a goby/shrimp pair. I had a bicolor angel, pair of clowns, and a mandarin(frozen trained) in my 29g when I first started.
