I want to set up a Frag Tank.
I am looking to Paint the Bottom and the Back of the Tank Black.
Do you guys have any recommendations on what type of paint I should use or what brand would be best?
Should I use Glossy or Flat Black Paint for the best look?

I like flat black. The glass will make it look shinny anyway. I use rustoleum flat black for plastics. You can also use limo window tint from any auto store.

I use satin blue latex.. it is nice because if I choose to change the paint it peels off nicely..

Krylon Fusion spray paint. Several light coats, allowing for dry time between coats.

+1 on the latex, blue or black it comes off easy if you ever change your mind. Well easier than spray paint that is.

Rustoleum in a can with a foam brush. Goes on really smooth and peels off easily if you ever want to change it

Where did you purchase the latex paint? Lowe's? Home Depot?
I need to paint the back of my 33gal. 48x12x12 It sits on my kitchen counter and gets indirect outside light.

I used flat black water based acrylic paint. Seems to have stuck on well.

I used flat black latex enamel from Lowes. Half pint covered the back of my 120g with a little left over. Smell wasn't bad at all.

I just used plast-dip on my new tank, takes like 4 coats but will peel off easy if needed

I've used Krylon Fusion Flat Black. Also, my wife had a can of blackboard spraypaint laying around... I used that too. Just don't tell her! :blown:

Latex. Black for Back, White for Bottom.
If you want it off a putty knife and a bit of time and your tank is paintless.
