View Full Version : 400w Bulb that's Whiter than Ushio 14k

It's that time of the year - time to start changing bulbs.

So I'm hoping to get a bulb that is whiter than the 400w Ushio 14k SE that runs on an electronic ballast.
To me, the Ushio 14k is white, but with a slight hue of yellow. I was looking at the Reeflux 10k / 12k bulbs.
Any thoughts or experience with this??

Experience? No. But my LFS uses Reeflux 12k bulbs supplemented with VHO actinics/454s on their 800 gallon display tank and it looks really nice. It is a very crisp white color, I don't notice it being yellow.
