...and you may get a totally different (and more relevant) answer.

What kind of tank (sps, lps, softie, FOWLR) matters hugely in some questions.

Just as a note, you see how I've stated what kind of tank I have and what my equipment is down in my sig line? That's the first place experienced RCers look when they're trying to give you a good, relevant answer. Just type it in once, and it'll always be there, helping us help you.

Go to 'My RC' >edit details, and keep scrolling; you'll see the blanks I used. It'll ask your tank description down near the bottom.

Yep, you have to get creative in abbreviations.
Abbreviations that are understood:
Brand name on skimmer; mh/T5/led +watt+ temperature, as 250 mh 10000k; pump brand + size: as---Iwaki 100; LPS, SPS, Mixed, FOWLR; 100g long; 100 g tall (shape of tank gives us a good visual.) Give your alk, everybody! It's one of the most important readings! And for a stony tank, give alk/cal/mg. We can help you so much so fast if we have info! Sometimes we can spot something in the combo of numbers or the description of the filtration that just blinks neon as 'oops!' ---

Above all, never be embarrassed! We all had to start with what we could afford and build over years, and we're mostly interested in that info so we can make sure you haven't got any combo of things that could be causing the problem you're asking about!

Embarrassment? You should see my system's underside. But it works!

THis thread is about tank labeling. To get help with that question, go to the DIY forum where people are building their own lights. They will be better able to help you.

Now back to tanks and identifying your equipment.
