My sumps been running for 3 days now. my skimmer is still breaking in and not skimming anything. My waters pretty cloudy now. is that something that would hurt the fish? only things i've changed is taken out my carbon bio-wheel filter and added a sump.

I guess my question is should I get a carbon reactor from bulkreefsupply...would that take care of the cloudiness

Did you instantly change from one to the other? The BIO wheel had lots of bacteria on it and in actuality you just took all of it out which can cause a pretty quick crash until it is up and running in the sump.

What did you put in the sump?

I wasn't using the bio wheel part thought, I took those off. I was just running carbon filters. 4 of them. And now the sump has the skimmer, filter socks, one piece of live rock, and the return pump. thats it. pretty basic. I did order a carbon reactor from BRS. Figured it wouldn't hurt to have it, and it may help clear it up.

OK What are measurements? pH-nitrate-nitrite-ammonia and any other test kits you have.
