View Full Version : odd Worm HH with pics

These guys were found in my tank. They come out when I feed my corals and fish. They look like centipedes or millipedes but they are worms. They have a distinct head and never fully leave there hole in the lr but they extend extreme lengths. They are sensitive to movement and vibrations. It was really difficult to get a pic because they would shoot in their whole everytime I moved the camera to their location. I want to get a clam but I'm worried they my snack on it. Can you guys ID this and let me know if its a pest or beneficial. Its curently living on a diet of Omega One pellets.

That's not a bristle worm. Bristles have no distinct tentacle mouth. Eunice worms do. See the second link downbeach posted for more info on Eunice worms.
