Is this asking for trouble?
Garage is never used for cars, but it gets HOT in the summer late afternoons. Outside gets 100+ for a couple weeks at least.
I was thinking to have about 150-200 gal of sump volume for the 225 inside the house.
Also thinking of installing a whole house fan to control humidity and temps.
I have a 1/2Hp chiller I can hook up as well.
Thoughts?

My initial thought is that a 1/2 hp chiller won't cut it, but other than that it sounds like a workable plan.

I was thinking the same for the chiller. Seems like I remember reading it could pull the temp down 10 degrees for 300gal tank. Not sure how much would be needed with the tank inside and fans blowing on the tank surface. Interior temps would never get above 79. Barring a power outage(rare) where I could use the generator to run the tank and chiller.

Did someone say sump in the garage? :D
And yes, we actually use our garage to park two cars and a motorcycle every day.
I didn't really NEED a chiller last year but tank temps did get up to around 83-84. So i picked one up for this year. Also just got a dehumidifier that is pulling around 4g per day. All my tools (that were left out in the open) were rusting. :p

It's houston. Temps get to around 100 in august and the humidity is always pretty much 100%. My garage is new and seals up pretty tight though. Plus it faces east. So temps stay in the mid 90's on the hottest days.
