Two days i noticed tiny critters swarming in the water under a rock overhang where there is a dead spot in flow so detritus accumulates there. Day three and they're still there with the largest about 3/8" long and aggressive to the smaller ones, the larger ones actively chase away smaller ones and each other at times. I'm guessing they are mysis as i only have a single young skunk cleaner who disappeared behind the same rock 3 days ago instead of perching at the front of the tank hoping to clean me. He only comes out now if i hand feed him reef roids shoved under a finger nail then he darts back in. I thought he might be eating them but he seems to just hang on the cave roof where the shrimp come out and feed from.
Anyway i took a short HD vid as i can't get a pic with my iphone as it won't focus on that area, it's not great but you can see some of the smaller ones darting about - i spooked the bigger ones moving a frag tray out of the way. I'm surprised they aren't breeding in the sump as it's alive with pods etc but no sign of mysis in there.
