I just got my new lights today. Before that I was getting zero growth from my crummy aquatraders led. I decided to let some natural sunlight in from the window. My tank is right in front of a 6 foot window. Well in the week and a half I have been doing it my tri color birds nest frags, idiot me dropped momma colony, have nearly doubled as well as my blue digitata. Of course color has faded but I can recover that. Anyone else done this. I don't worry about algae because of my algae turf scrubber.

Coral grows most rapidly at that spectrum- but we dont tend to like 5500k bulbs, so we put up with slower growth. Most people like the colors to pop, and will put growth as a second to asthetics.
