It's hard to get a picture but this is the best I can do. It looks like there is white all over his body but he is not acting any differently.

My anemone moved to the firefishes hiding hole recently, do you think he could have swam into the anemone by accident while trying to hide?

To my knowledge it looks to be Ich/Lymphocystis, I would treat it before it gets worse, hope this helps. . .

That's what I was hoping it wasn't... I'll get the qt setup tonight. I may need to make a fish trap to catch him though.

I've had this guy for almost a year was it sitting dormant?

Lymphocystis. Virus. No treatment exists that I know of. Bring your alkalinity to 8.3 and you might try a product called Stress Coat, but read the instructions. I'd personally isolate him to use it: I have never used it, be it known, but it claims to help the slime coat. Good alkalinity does that, too, and should be maintained at all times. Slime coat is a fish's natural defense against both parasites and infection.

I have him in my qt I actually had some stress coat from my freshwater days so I added some to the water. He's swimming around in the tube I have in there.

Stress Coat is safe. It might make a skimmer go nuts though.

Well I'm happy to report that almost a week later he is still alive and doing very well. There isn't a spot on him. I'm going to leave him in qt for another week but after that he has to go back into the main tank because ill be on a 3 week vacation and I don't have a tank sitter. I'm fully trusting an auto feeder I've been using for the last 2 weeks and my apex to report any issues.
