I have a white cheek tang that has it the worst. my tank size is 90. All of my other fish appear to not have it bad, but the tang is just covered with ich. I mean covered. I'm doing a 10% water change tomorrow, following the directions on the treatment I am doing. Should I use that water and get the tang out of the main tank into a separate tank, realizing that I still have to treat the main tank. I just don't want the other fish to get it as bad as this one has it.

Is this other tank a QT? Tangs get ich easily. if you are setting up a QT I would check the other channel for disease and treatment and seek their advice. If you treat the tank with any thing that is copper all your invert will die. also once you treat your system you wont be able to put other invert or corals into the system. Maybe a better choice to setup a QT tank and treat the fish and then wait 10 weeks and the tank should be ich free.

i'm talking about my main tank. I don't have a qt tank right now. I'm saying, should i move the fish that has ich the worst, (other fish show very little sign of it) into a qt tank and treat him there...UNDERSTANDING the fact I still need to treat the main tank.

all fish in the tank no matter if they have ic or not need to come out of the main tank and treated in a separate qt tank.
main tank needs to be left fishless for atleast 10 weeks.
treat the rest of the fish either with copper or hyposalinity.for tank transfer u will need few extra tanks.
