Went down to the marina today to do some bottom painting, waxing, etc and at the end of the day my son returned from an expedition with a bag containing a few nessarius snails he'd found. I agreed to let him put them in a 55 gal I keep running with some extra live rock as sort of a quarantine before they go into one of the other tanks. I took a look in there a little while ago and a spec caught my eye, it looked like a bubble but it was being tossed aroung in the output of the powerhead. I don't think I've ever seen a jellyfish that small before. it wasn't much bigger than a BB.

wow interesting! I guess quarantine was a smart idea. Maybe there is other stuff in there too?

You might consider taking them out, and treating the QT with PraziPro. Here's a good article:

I had a tiny jelly fish come in on a coral, but i havent seen it since. he was no bigger than a pin head

Thanks for the info, the snails look like Ilyanassa obsoleta and are going back to Barnegat Bay. I haven't seen the little Jellyfish since last night. He's either found a hiding place or a filter.
