Is Sch 40 PVC UV safe ?

Hi I bought a uv light that's made to go into a prime/current chiller it has the ballast and the quarts sleeve is it safe to build a housing out of PVC from HD or will it break down over time ?

PVC will yellow and slowly turn brittle over time when exposed to UV.

So how does aqua have there's in PVC or can anybody tell me what I should have used

ABS plastic is what I believe they are made with not PVC.
