What would be a typical price to pay for a new 90g tank with built in overflow? Also, any good spots in SoCal area that have good tank selection?

As long as it has water in it and is not leaking a tank really does not age very much. Silicone reacts with nothing and neither does glass. Not much advantage to buying new and infinitely more expensive. I often see full system w. plumbing, sump/pump and skimmer but without livestock go for under 500 on craigs list.

I paid $295 for a brand new reef ready 90 Marineland from my LFS. They had it marked at $315 and knocked $20 off it for me.

Craigslist.

I bought my 160, with 50 gallon sump, euro reef skimmer, 100 lbs of live rock with corals on it, stand.... 450.

Always someone getting out in a hurry to sell.

If not, wait until petco has the $1 a gallon sale.

I don't believe Petco sells anything over 75 for $1 gallon sale

Go to pet supplies plus. I got my 125 reef ready for like $400. I would imagine a 90 would be half that price then.

I've only heard of and and never attended, that's too bad.

When I was looking at new, they were around 300. But I got a much better deal on an established aquarium.
They guy I bought from had about 90% of the things I wanted in regard to equipment.

Got lucky.

Man, some of you get killed on this stuff (not on Craigslist). I paid $265 for my pre-drilled 90g Aqueon last year at my LFS.
