My BRS RODI unit showed up on Tuesday. I finally got the opportunity to install it today. Pretty simple to install, especially with the murlock quick connect fittings. BRS provides everything needed except screws for mounting the unit on the wall. Everything seems to be working perfectly. I'm getting about 25ppm from the RO and 0ppm from the DI side, but it has only been running for a couple hours.

I have noted one ideosyncrasy. I don't get any RO drinking water when I'm making RODI water.

Is this always the case or did I not give enough time for the bladder tank to fill?

you didn't give it enough time to fill the bladder. after the 1st time the bladder fills you shouldn't have any problems running out.

New problem, when making RO water to fill the drinking water system the pressure stayed above 42psi. When I went to make RODI water the pressure dropped to about 30psi after about 15 mins. Can I fix this by increasing the house water pressure?

yeah, if possiable i would try to raise it to 60psi. that will get you alot better performance from the unit. or you can buy a booster pump kit.

How does it tap in? Does it just tap off after the sediment and carbon filters? I guess its bad to drink RO/DI water.

it will tap in after the membrane but before the DI.

You can see the connection to the drinking faucet in picture one, between the RO membrane and the DI canister is a tee with a check valve, that goes up to my first floor kitchen sink. The RODI water line goes down to a Rubbermaid Brute 30 gal barrel with a BRS auto shut off valve.

After consulting with a plumber friend I ventured to the basement and adjusted my house water pressure so that it cuts on at 42 psi and cuts off at about 68 psi. I never saw the gauge on the RODI unit drop below 40 psi after that and I made 30 gallons of RODI water overnight and the shower works better now so I'm happy.
