I've got a few clumps of this growing; doesn't seem to grow together.. One will grow, and another maybe 6 inches from it. They come right off in one clump and grow in little bushes.

Here is a pic. At first I thought it might be bryopsis; but it's not feathery like that.

Kinda difficult to tell by the pic
If you take a tiny piece and look at it with a magnifying glass does it have feathery ends?
Also wondering what livestock do you have in the tank (fish or CUC) ...meaning does anything pick at it or eat it?

It's not a Byropsis. Maybe Pedobesia if the tips are not branched much/at all. That would be my guess.

Nothing picks at it.. My tang ignores it; so do the crabs... Doesn't seem to be branched. It almost grows on like a little mat, they are not hard to haul out and get rid of.. Just wondering what the heck it is :P
