Is this a good placement?

Depends on flow. Duncan's like low to moderate flow, just enough so the tentacles sway slightly. They also like low to moderate light. Don't know what your light is, but if it's a strong SPS capable light, then low placement like you have is good. Ideally, you can also attach the duncan to a rock and bury the rock, so the Duncan can grow and branch just underneath the surface of the substrate.
