I have this algae that came in I'm assuming on a frag plug and I somehow missed it before I put it in my tank. In a very short time it has completely covered one of my islands in my tank and is growing all over my clam. It pulls off easy and my tang and starry blenny seem to eat it, just not very fast. I have noticed it dies pretty quickly when my anemone covers it. Here are a few clear pics:

A type of caulerpa, possibly caulerpa taxifolia.

Second one is Neomeris annulata, much less invasive than the caulerpa

in the above pic (most recent) it looks like you have 2 different types...both are types of caulerpa as well

is this bad to have in the DT and if so, what is the best way to keep it from growing back. i have tried pulling it out but it breaks off before the entire root comes out. if that makes any sense.

Thank you for the replies, I thought it might be caulerpa. jfeva0049, they become very invasive and will grow over corals.
