CAD Lights

My wifes elos mini is out of control as far as algae goes. Finally decided to try and get it under control. I'm looking at these CAD Lights nano bio reactors and want to know if anyone has opinions of these. They say they work great with bio balls or gfo. Which do you think I should run in this. I know gfo works well with algae but will bio balls work as well. I can start with gfo to eradicate the problem then switch to plastics to keep it maintained. What are your guys opinion? I'd like to get this ordered by the end of the day if possible. Thanks for the input
